Agents
Overview
In Crux VPN, the software installed on a device to establish secure, post-quantum VPN connectivity is called the Crux VPN Agent. In some cases (today only mobile clients), the agent comes bundled with WireGuard in a single application for ease of use. In other cases, the agent is installed by itself.
Note
This section covers all devices where the agent can be installed, regardless of whether configured as a VPN client, server, or both.
The role of the agent (client or server) is determined by its configuration and is independent of the installed version of the agent and the operating system it is installed on.
The agent is designed for end users and provides minimal local controls (e.g. start/stop tunnel, view status). All network configuration is managed centrally via the Crux Web UI.
